You know how sometimes, you get an idea that sticks with you and then before you know it it has a life of its own and you can’t wait to see where it goes?

That’s exactly how the movie “Unlikely Friends” came into being.

It started with a comment to Josh, my co-worker, friend, and actor. The comment went something like, “We should make a movie!”

We were really excited about it, but I had no idea if the desire would stick. But a short three days later we were sitting down with a computer and newly downloaded Celtx (a scriptwriting program).

By the time we came back from Christmas break we had a full and completed script. A weekend after that we have final edits done, a title, and tagline. A week after that, we had a production schedule, costume and props plots, and a day to talk to people about using their locations. A weekend later, we had all locations nailed down and all we needed to do was wait for the first day of filming.

That begins next week!

It’s been so excited watching a comment come to full fruition. We have no idea where God will take this film, but we are excited by the possibilities.
